Tell us about your Fiverr Story.
2013 was a hard year for my family. We have heavily depended on my father for financial support. For over 35 years he was a Senior Manager at a textile company. He came home from work one day and told us that he had resigned because the owner of the company no longer believed he was the right person for the job.
After 35 years, his company did not provide any pension or financial support. This was one of the most difficult times of my life. I lost my sleep and thought about the future of my family. I had no idea how I should pay my bills and our house was full of tension. I was still in school, so it was not really an option to get a full-time job, then a friend had mentioned a new platform called Fiverr. I decided to give it.
After a quick search I was immediately impressed by the profiles of so many talented Sellers. They did extraordinary work on Fiverr. I knew it was something I had to share, so I signed up and created my first development gig. I got my first order of $ 25 and received my first positive all on the same day. I was so excited – this was the first time I had earned my own money.
Describe some of your favorite projects.
The development of a good relationship with my buyer always has top priority. My evaluation is the result of constant communication and the production of quality work. One of my repeat buyers has ordered not only 17 gigs – but she also tipped me with every order! The key to success at Fiverr is excellent communication, quality work and outstanding customer service. After 900+ completed orders I kept a 100% rating. Hard work pays off.
How have your skills grown since joining Fiverr?
After I joined Fiverr, I experimented with different gigs to see what worked best for my clients and me. I’ve learned how to build websites, so I’ve focused my offers on WordPress development. It was not a success overnight. I visited the college during the day and finished Fiverr orders in the evening.
I also joined the Fiverr community forum, which helps a lot. Fiverr sellers share tips to help me grow my business. I also studied various tools provided by Fiverr. I’ve found that the Triple Gig packages earn me more than a simple $ 5 gig. I also find that the Fiverr Academy is a great resource for sellers in the early stages of their business travel.
Any tips for Newcomers?
Many salespeople from the community forum ask how to succeed with Fiverr. Here is my tips:
- Focus on quality, not on quantity.
- Communication is the key, keep your customers up to date.
- Ask questions – make sure that expectations, schedules and goals are always understood.
- Use tools like the forum to learn more about Fiverr’s abilities.
- Be always professional. It is important to treat your Fiverr account as a business.
- Learn from your mistakes.
- What influence does Fiverr have on your life?
Fiver had an incredible impact on my life. Before I became a Fiverr Pro salesman, I did not have my own money and now I have earned more than $ 31,000. My Fiverr income helped my family help during a very difficult time. I also do not lose sleep because I have paid my bills, study fees or additional expenses. The happiness that my family has brought, especially my father (who now runs his own export agency) is invaluable. I have achieved so much in just three years and can not wait to see what happens next.
